Supporters gather to support a vision for transit in Minnesota

Over a dozen volunteers and local media gathered at the Southwest Transit park and ride facility in Eden Prairie early Wednesday morning to greet bus commuters with coffee and hear representatives from TLC and the Minnesota state legislature speak. It was part of the Minnesota: Love It, Save It, Transit campaign to highlight public transit as an effective way to fight global warming and to unveil the Twin Cities Transitways 2020 map, a vision for a region-wide transit system. The commuters who packed the buses were handed fact sheets complete with maps of the proposed system along with their coffee.
