Bike/Walk Advisory Committee (BWAC)

What is the B-WAC?
Transit for Livable Communities convenes a quarterly meeting of the bike/walk advisory committee, or BWAC. The committee is further broken down into two subcommittees. The Facilities subcommittee is co-chaired by Robert Lilligren & Karen Nikolai. Jessica Treat chairs the Cultural subcommittee.

Facilities Subcommittee, co-chaired by Robert Lilligren & Karen Nikolai provides recommendations on developing a process and criteria for selecting infrastructure projects and also recommends ways to make the existing transportation network better for bicyclists and pedestrians.

Cultural Subcommitte, chaired by Jessica Treat, advises on public information strategies and promotional efforts to increase walking and bicycling. This committee also provides information, and advises on planning efforts and research conducted needed to reach program goals.
