UPDATES

The Alternatives Analysis (Analysis) for the 80 mile Rush Line Corridor is nearing completion. The Analysis examines various transit modes (light rail, busway, commuter rail) and alignment options throughout the Rush Line Corridor which originates at the runs Union Depot in St. Paul and travels north for 80 miles to Hinckley generally parallel to I-35/I-35E and TH 61. Results of the study should be available this summer (2009). The 24 member Rush Line Corridor Task Force, chaired by Commissioner Victoria Reinhart is asking for $1 million in state bonding this session to continue making improvements to park and rides along the corridor.  New commuter bus service in the corridor paid for by Anoka, Washington, Ramsey, and Chisago counties is anticipated to begin this summer.  Check the corridor web site for a project update and a meeting schedule – http://www.rushline.org/home.html
