Stacey joined Transit for Livable Communities in November 2007. She came to us from Mississippi Market Co-op where she was the Accounts Payable Manager for several years. Stacey brings with her an extensive background in business and financial management: she has been Deputy City Auditor & Payroll Mgr for the City of Berkeley, CA, Business Manager for Reuben Lindh Learning Center, and Co-founder and Administrative Director of the Minnesota School of Acupuncture and Herbal Studies. Stacey would tell you, however, that her most cherished position was that as owner/operator of a wilderness resort, just outside of the BWCA, where she catered to non-motorized leisure activities and adventures. Stacey’s professional accomplishments demonstrate her lifelong commitment to the non-profit sector and her need to be engaged in activities that make our world a better place to live.
As TLC’s Finance and Human Resource Manager, Stacey manages all of our accounting functions, up to and including the production of our Financial Statements, as well as managing our Human Resources, Procurement, and IT-interface duties. Stacey’s extensive accounting background allowed us to bring our accounting in house after years of employing an outside contractor. This in turn has put vital financial information at our fingertips, in any format that TLC needs, allowing us to meet our varied and ever-growing reporting requirements.
