Steve Schultz joined Transit for Livable Communities as its first Development and Membership Manager in July 2008. He leads work with membership, corporate supporters, and private foundations to ensure funding for the organization’s research, advocacy, and organizing programs.
Steve brings over 13 years of fundraising and organizing experience from his work with Clean Water Action of Minnesota. Most recently he served as the Membership Relations Director. He directed all membership recruitment, development, fundraising as well as legislative and electoral mobilizing efforts.
Steve enjoys reading and learning about history, politics and economics. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota in 2003, attaining a B.A. from the College of Liberal Arts. His studies focused on American history, foreign relations, economics and politics, as well as Latin American and American Indian history.
In 2007, Steve became a new homeowner, and loves working in his many gardens and swimming in his pool to cool down on hot summer days. He also enjoys hiking, biking, disc golfing, and watching the Minnesota Twins and the Green Bay Packers.
