TCN MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Kathleen Murphy, Richfield  I have taken the bus for over 15 years to work, doctors appointments, and yes…even to the State Fair! I do not drive and choose not to drive when Metro Transit is a very convenient way for me to get around.  Living in Richfield on two bus lines makes it very easy for me to get out to the Mall of America, downtown Minneapolis, and even out to Southdale Mall.By riding the bus, I leave the hassle of rush hour traffic behind when I leave for work. During weekends in the summer, I take the bus to events like art fairs, Taste of Minnesota, and the State Fair so I don’t have to worry about finding and paying for parking. I like being able to ride free or get discount fares to special events, and have even convinced friends to park at a mall and take the bus with me. Why pay for parking when you can ride the bus?
